Transportation is an important part of daily life. Every day, millions of people are transported to and from school, work, appointments, shopping trips, and other destinations by public transportation, Para transit, private services, health care providers, and others. For most passengers, this is a pretty simple process. For those with emotional and developmental disabilities, a simple ride may not be so simple. Adults with developmental disabilities may need special care and the assistance of trained transportation professionals to see that they have a safe ride. This course discusses how transportation professionals can ensure they are transporting adults with emotional and developmental disabilities safely and effectively.
