In general, person-centered planning is a collection of planning styles with a set of shared principles that focus on the unique needs and personality of the individual. This overview will include information about the historical events that led to the creation of person-centered planning as well as why person-centered planning is important in all behavioral health practice settings today. This course will highlight and review the key features of person-centered planning and how to implement these techniques in clinical work, especially through the development of treatment plans.
