Leadership does not occur in a vacuum; it’s a team sport. This means that, for leadership to occur, it requires the efforts of other people. When two or more people get together to do something or to meet some objective, we say that they are organized. If leadership is an activity people engage in, organizations are the place where they do the activity. Organizations take many forms, exist in many sizes, and work towards many different goals. The one thing they have in common, though, is that they all have a unique culture. This course discussed the role that leadership plays to shape organizational culture.
